Lure

A lure is a type of map fragment. It can be placed alongside a map in the Map DeviceMap DeviceHideout ItemCreates an object in your hideout2 Variations to augment it.

Lures function like Bestiary Scarabs, but offer greater specificity over which types of beasts will be encountered. Each lure adds four red beasts from their respective families into the map instance:

• The Deep (Craicic)
• The Wilds (Farric)
• The Caverns (Fenumal)
• The Sands (Saqawine)

Lures cannot be used in conjunction with Bestiary Scarabs.

Item acquisition

this section contains historical information. Lure no longer drop since version 3.19. Existing items can still be used in the permanent leagues.

• Lures can be dropped from Heist reward chests.
  
• Lures can be Horticrafted:
  • Primal Crushclaw - Change a Unique Bestiary item or item with an Aspect into Lures of the same beast family

3.19.0	Lures and Infused Engineer's Orbs can no longer be obtained. Oshabi, Avatar of the Grove, no longer drops Infused Beachheads, Dedication, Gift and Tribute to the Goddess, Lures, Infused Engineer's Orbs, or Facetor's Lenses. She now has a chance to drop Crystallised Lifeforce, which can be used for a specific set of crafting options.
3.13.0	Harvest has been added to the core game and has been vastly reworked. Lures can once again be obtained through harvest crafting.
3.12.0	Lures can be obtained in Heist league as a drop from certain chests in heist missions. [Undocumented This change was not documented by any official sources. It was discovered through player testing or datamining.]
3.11.2b	With Harvest not added to the core game, the only way of obtaining lures is no longer available.
