Mayhem is a type of event. In Mayhem, a large amount of a random challenge league content will spawn in zones, rotating by the hour. It replaces the older Eternal Torment and Exiles Everywhere format races.[1]
Details
- Each area will contain one of the following:
- 20 Rogue Exiles
- 20 Strongboxes
- 20 Invasion Bosses
- 10 Breaches
- 20 Tormented Spirits
- 20 Harbingers
- A Mirror of Delirium
- Enemies that have a chance to spawn Beyond Demons when slain close to each other
- The mod that an area has will change every hour.
- Atlas Passive Skills will affect mechanics from this race's modifiers.
- Each area also has two additional mods from a pool of mods that increase the difficulty of monsters in the area.
List of modifiers
Each combat area of the game, excluding The Twilight Strand (Act 1) (see notes below), has one of the following mods:

- Monsters have 200% increased Critical Strike Chance and +35% to Monster Critical Strike Multiplier
- Monsters have 100% chance to Hinder on Hit with Spells
- Monsters have 100% chance to Maim on Hit with Attacks
Strategies
Scarabs and the Atlas passive tree apply to the additional mechanics from Mayhem modifiers. This can provide some synergy in maps:
- Breach with Flash Breach, Gatekeepers, Beyond Their Reach for farming experience directly and via Uul-Netol and Chayula breachstones
- Rogue Exiles with Rogue Trader, Royal Guard, Exiled Will, Ruckus, Unrelenting Torment, Seance
- Torment with Seance, Unrelenting Torment
- Strongbox with Tamper Proof, Secret Operations, Vault of Mysteries, Concealed Logistics, Backup Cache
- Harbinger with Unspeakable Offensive, First Wave for experience
The Resistance and Ailment Protection Mastery for You cannot be Maimed; You cannot be Hindered will be very helpful to prevent unnecessary slows.
